Shahpura collection, the garment, accessory and home furnishing line of Rani Ratna Kumari Foundation (RRKF) was launched in 2016 with a vision to empower the local people, especially women, of Shahpura, the Princely state of Rajasthan. Shahpura collection is owned by Rani Ratna Kumar, Wife of Mahararaj Surendra Singh, descendants of the royal family of Shahpura.
Digraj Singh, the elder son of Rani Ratna Kumari, inspired by his mother’s vision, has taken the responsibility to give recognition to every local artist of Shahpura by making the brand global. Shahpura collection was started with a mission to give exposure to the local artists of the village Shahpura. Shahpura collection is an eco-conscious brand. All the material that is used to make the products is cruelty-free and does not harm the environment.
Women empowerment is the biggest concern of Rani Ratna Kumari Foundation (RRKF) and the motive behind starting the brand was to bring forth the creative skills of women and to make them financially independent. The manufacturing unit is situated in Shahpura where all the women are trained by highly skilled designers and workers.
The designs of Shahpura collection are influenced by the Rajasthani culture. The garment collection is categorized on the basis of colour and design and is named as ‘Miyan Mitthu’, ‘Firoza’, ‘Ganga Jamuni’ and ‘Kamal Badi’. Shahpura collection offers a wide range of accessory that includes antique jewellery, handbags, mojaris, bookmarks, stoles and dupatta. Cushion covers and dohad are parts of the home furnishing range.
